Show & Tell

I don't know about you, but for me nothing is more inspiring than seeing people's creatively organized spaces. First I "ooooo" a bit, then I "aaaahhh", then I start itching to see what fantastical spaces I can create. I get tired of just seeing and thinking "I can do that!", and soon I'm scampering off humming "anything you can do I can do better...". Yep, that's me.

Alejandra has been inspiring me with simple organizing solutions via her OUT OF THIS WORLD video series, and now I'm ready for a little show and tell of my own! Did you miss Monday's interview with Alejandra? If so, you need to go get wow'd here. One day, I'll be ready for my "close up" and give you guys an entire house tour...one day, when I grow up to be just like Alejandra! *giggle* (Let's just ignore the fact that we're nearly the same age...I'm just a little behind in my growth).

3 Fantastic Tips I Took From Alejandra

1. How to Fold And Store My Jeans:
I learned how to store folded clothes from a friend, who ironically learned it from Alejandra's video series...which I introduced her to! Good things do go around and come back to you! You can read my entire post here about drawer organization, and I'm proud to say I have finally tackled those jeans...

Because it's just too awesome, I have to share Alejandra's video that started the awesome folded jeans revolution! *grin* Go, be taught my pretties...

2. How to Store My Batteries:
My kids were always on the hunt for the batteries... first the batteries were in the cleaning cabinet, then they were in my all purpose pantry, then they were with the hardware in the garage, next they were being kept in the refrigerator (no I didn't lose my memory, my husband told me they keep longer...don't ask me if it's true or not *giggle*). Worst we were never sure where each pack of batteries might be, the D's might be in the garage, while the AAA's were in the pantry, and the C's were just MIA.
After watching Alejandra's house tour video where she shows how she organized her batteries and nails I ran out and decided plano boxes were a gift from heaven! *grin*

I took this a step further and also decided to store my picture frame hangers, and various hardware knick knacks! Details coming soon to a blog near you... *wink*

3. How to Label The Circuit Breaker
When I saw Alejandra's video on how to label circuit breakers I literally yelled at the screen "Oh my goodness, THANK YOU!! That is just genius". There is absolutely nothing I hate more than doing projects that entail electric wiring... why? Because I'm always terrified that when I hit that circuit breaker for that room I will get it wrong. Alejandra color coded her circuit breaker using stickers to make it clear which breakers linked to which rooms! You can watch her how-to video here. And because I have a little more to do on it before I'm ready to blog about it, here is just a tiny sneak peak of how mine is coming along...  *wink*

Well, what about you? How has Alejandra and the other Incredibles inspired you? We have had 7 wonderful weeks of inspiration after inspiration with 7 top notch delightfully Incredible bloggers. Don't tell me you haven't gotten a little something-something done yourself. Well this is the opportunity to show it! Link-up via blog post or video post to give us a show and tell of your organized spaces and beautiful house tours! And just in case you need a little extra inspiration, I have rounded up all 7 of the Incredibles house tours for one last little peek of happiness.

The Incredibles: Alejandra TV

You haven't seen organized until you've seen Alejandra's videos! Professional organizer with a stellar eye for creative repurposing, and she offers a productivity program? Why yes please! I promise you'll be ask hooked as I am.

I had just started a You Tube account for my (then) soon-to-be blog when I thought "hmmm, does anyone else add videos to their blogs?", well lo and behold my idea wasn't an original one... *giggle*
I pretty much marathoned her series on You Tube, then promptly told all my friends via Facebook (in no uncertain terms) that they MUST go watch right now. *hee hee* You could say I'm a fan.
Alejandra has been featured on HGTV, CBS, and Good Housekeeping just to name a few. Enjoy the interview!

Interviewing the Incredibles Part 7:
Show & Tell

Ursula:  I love that you teach organizing via video! There is nothing quite like seeing something in action to know it works. How did you come up with the idea, and what was your very first video about?

Alejandra: Thank you!! There are several different things that led me to video. One of them was showing others that it is possible to live an organized life. The best way to do this is through video. With video you can capture things most photos can't. Plus, it's an opportunity to explain things in detail. I'm not a big fan of writing. In fact, I really dread writing. So the fact that I could explain everything verbally instead of typing at the computer was a huge plus in my head!!

My first video was my home tour which I filmed in 2011. At the time, I had no idea how to use a camera so I hired a videographer to shoot the video. The video changed my life. Not only did I learn that I LOVED to film videos, but the video got positive feedback that inspired me to continue filming more and more and more!

On top of that, the night before my first video shoot, HGTV put out a casting call looking for the most organized home in America. When I saw the casting call the night before the shoot, I literally got goose bumps. What are the chances that I'm filming an organized home tour tomorrow and HGTV is looking for organized homes?!?! When I received the final video, I immediately sent it to HGTV and they came to my house a few months later to film Clean Freaks! It was a cool experience!

Ursula: Not everyone is crafty enough to create or build organizers, and not everyone has the budget to purchase expensive organizing systems either. Is there hope for those with little time, and small budgets to get organized?

Alejandra: Absolutely! I do a lot of videos on small budget organization where I show cheap finds from the dollar store, TJMaxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls, IKEA, etc. There are cheap organizing products everywhere you look, you just have to look!

I'm also a big fan of repurposing things. For example, I have a new video coming out soon on how to repurpose prescription bottles for traveling. Most of the jars or cans in the pantry can be repurposed as organizing products. It's all about getting creative and thinking outside the box. Of course it's easiest to go out and buy all of your products, but you get more satisfaction when you're creative and find good deals or repurpose things from around the house!

Ursula: I am SO happy you shared that, I adore how creative you are in your solutions! What tips can you give someone who is overwhelmed and has no idea where to begin, how to stay on track, and isn’t even sure if there are real perks to organizing?

Alejandra: I could talk about this forever and I do inside my Power Productivity Program! lol. To sum it up, it's all about prioritizing. Your house didn't become a mess overnight and so it's not going to become organized by tomorrow. It's going to take time… a long time. And the bad news is that you’re never done! You'll be organizing your entire life. I always tell people that so in case they hate organizing, it's to their advantage to learn since it's a never-ending process. You just can't escape this stuff.

Going back to prioritizing, I always tell people to start in the space that is causing them the most pain as in frustration, stress, and anxiety. Since that's the most painful space, they'll see the most relief the fastest. And you don't have to start in the entire space. Instead, start in one corner or a small drawer and work your way around the room.

I also offer a Free Video Series for anyone that’s ready to start getting organized that gives you something to work on each day. Afterward you’re well on your way to getting organized.

Ursula: Oh I love that video series! I ran around my house trying to employ everything you taught like a crazy lady! *giggle*
As a professional organizer, you’ve taught the happy organizer, and the chronically disorganized. What kind of resources does your online course provide for both of these personality types?

Alejandra: The Power Productivity Program is for all types of personalities from beginners to advanced. The program walks you through the organizing process step-by-step all of the way from getting started to maintaining your organization down the road. In the new program update (due out this month) I hold your hand in the videos throughout the process and tell you what you need to do. I break everything down into "really easy to understand" concepts.

The program includes roughly 4 hours of video footage where I demonstrate everything each step of the way from the organizing process to how to effectively use your daily to-do list and calendar.

We cover soooooo much stuff. To sum it up, it's pretty much my organized life explained in lots of detail on video.

The program also includes two months of free access to my Members Forum which is like a private online support group where I answer questions each week, we post before/after photos, and we have member giveaways. It's the perfect place to be if you need motivation or inspiration. The forum also includes my categorized Knowledge Base of past Q&A. Every single question I've answered can be found there.

Ursula: Thanks so much for sharing Alejandra! I enjoy all your videos, and your new videos are even more organizational eye candy! *blissful sigh* Keep on inspiring and organizing us! Check out Alejandra's website here.

What about you? Are you a happy organizer? We’re all learning and creatively growing together, so nothing is more helpful than knowing you’re not alone! Come back on Thursday with tours of your organized spaces… link via blog post or video blog! I’ll be sharing the spaces Alejandra has inspired me to organize. I can’t wait!!

The Orderly Blogger

Jen, from IHeart Organizing has given bloggers some fantastic tips and important information to keep in mind when blogging. If you haven't checked out the interview, well it is a must! Click here to get all caught up.
This post is definitely for all the bloggers out there... but I would love it if all the readers who don't blog would contribute their tips in the comments below. We want to know what you look for and love in a blog!

In the time I have been blogging, I have learned that good consistent blogging is no small task! It requires dedicated time, effort, and a substantial amount of organization to produce creative and interesting material! Then on top of that, if you are a diy blogger sharing the how-to’s behind organization, diy, and decor as I do, then you have to stay on top of creative projects in your own home...enough to post quality pieces on a regular basis which is no small task!
One of the first things I did once I began blogging is create a method to keep my ideas organized. My blog organizer uses post-its I have jotted ideas on and I move through 3 categories to completion. I shared the printables for my blog post organizer here, and today I have released a new page to add to it... a "Year-at-a-Glance" page! After all, it is equally important to plan methods of increasing your readership as writing posts. Whether you plan link parties, themed topics, advertising methods, design improvements, etc. it takes organized planning.

Today I'm rounding up valuable tips to help make your blog its best!  I'm  listing my favorite submission sites such as the fantastic Looksi, as well as blogger tips, blog printables, and more... And I need your help! Submit your own blogger tips, or a favorite blogger resource site to help those less experienced bloggers. Plus you might learn a thing or two yourself! *wink* Grab a feature button, and get linking!

The Incredibles: IHeart Organizing

I remember the first time I saw the IHeart Organizing blog. A friend shared it with me just over a year ago. I didn't know what a "blog" was, and couldn't imagine what this ugly little word "blog" could possibly depict.

Then, my eyes lit upon this beautiful page in all its organization glory, my breath caught in my throat and my heart skipped a beat. In that moment, I knew that " I heart you too IHeartOrganizing!"...and yes, I might sound a little crazy, but I swear I whispered it as I stared awestruck at this creation called "blog". *giggle*...since then, I've been obsessed! Stop shaking your head at me, I've told you before, I'll tell you again, you might have your movie stars, but nothing NOTHING compares to pages and pages of inspiring photos, rows and rows of well organized spaces, and IHeart Organizing has it all! This incredible mom organized her way to a beautiful home, an impressive family life, and an incredible blogging business. Her blog and her home have been featured on Better Homes and Gardens, HGTV, The Nate Berkus Show...just to name a few! So I have asked her to stop by today to share the how-to’s of successful blogging and the power of organization.

Yep, this is why I call Jen one of the great "Incredibles". You want to hear something even more incredible? I hear a rumor that she doesn't have a junk closet or even a junk drawer anywhere! Jen, is this true? How can this be?

Ok readers, as soon as you pick your jaw up off the floor, read on, and enjoy the interview!

Interviewing the Incredibles Part 6:
The Orderly Blogger

Ursula: Jen, before I ask questions about your blogging, it sounds like you're a true organizer...from the inside out. What do you attribute to this love of organization? And how can we who are a bit more "challenged" in this area catch that bug?

Jen: I have always had a love for organizing, it dates back to when I was younger and would color code my school folders and organize my locker.  Then it was my office spaces at work and later it became the home I would live in with my growing family.  I have always felt I function better with a clean slate around me, and that I can save time and money by keeping order.  And then when I started mixing my passion for DIY, crafts and color with the love for organizing, it was a match made in heaven.  Each little project left me inspired to tackle another.  And any time there is a moment where my kids know exactly where their book bags belong or when my husband doesn't have to ask where his keys are, I smile. It is a rewarding hobby to have.

Ursula: Isn't that the beauty of organization? It always pays off! It seems you became successful fairly quickly in the blogging world. What do you attribute to your success?

Jen: Oh boy, I don't know about that.  I have actually been blogging since September of 2009!  But time flies when you are having fun, that is for sure!  Here are a few things that I have learned along the way:

  •  Blog about what you love.  If you blog about your passions and inspirations, then it will come natural and you will stay excited about it.  I hope my readers feel my love for happy colors, organizing and my paint brush.
  • Be photo happy.  I know I love blogs with lots of pictures.  Big, happy pictures.  They say that a photo is worth a thousand words, and since I have never considered myself a "writer", I try and let my photos do a lot of the talking for me.
  • Invest some time.  I eat, sleep and breath blogging.  Not saying that you need to do so to make it, but I am always thinking of ways I can enhance my site, my posts, what I should write about, what my readers would be interested in learning and working on projects.  I am also looking into ways to continue to learn by reading other blogs, signing up for conferences and even checking out a few books on the subject.
  • Stay connected.  Social media can be a bit overwhelming to manage, but I still make it a huge chunk of every day to respond to comments and check in on my twitter and facebook accounts.  I love to meet other bloggers and interact with my readers.  It is such a huge part of why I love blogging!  As I continue to grow, it gets a little more challenging, but I will never stop making it a priority.
  • Share your projects and ideas with fellow bloggers and offer to share their success as well.  I love featuring my readers, it is one of the highlights of my blog.  And I am 100% certain that I am able to call blogging my job because of the wonderful features I have been blessed with as well.  We are a giant ring of inspiration, that is for sure!
Ursula: Wow, that is valuable information! But do you think blogging is for everyone? Or do we need to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em?

Jen: I think it is for anyone who is passionate about what they are doing, and enjoys sharing and bonding with others.  Anyone can have a blog and write a blog, it just depends on the end goal and the "why" behind it.

Ursula: Do you have any tips for those of us who are new to blogging?

Jen: Yes, patience is key.  When I started blogging, no one was reading.  Not even my family, which is why I started the blog in the first place.  But I realized that I loved it, readers or no readers, so I just kept on blogging.  And blogging and blogging some more.  Now I blog in my sleep, and over three years later, I have readers!  Growing a blog isn't typically an overnight success story.  I am so happy I stuck with it, even when no one was listening.

I think it is easy to get caught up in going big or going home, but I don't think that needs to be the case with starting up a blog.  Check out your favorite blogs and take note of what draws you in and why you love them.  There is such a huge variety out there, but surely there will be some consistency within the ones that you check out frequently.  Do you love the pictures, the writing style, the graphics, the colors?  It's a good exercise to realize what you love so that you can put your own spin on those ideas and make your own blog a place that reflects your personal style.

It is good to have long term goals, be motivated and extremely passionate about the topics you are writing about.  Blogging has turned into a career for so many talented individuals, and I pinch myself daily that it is even an option.  However, it is also important to realize that blogging is just like any other full time job, and that there is a lot of behind the scenes work and time involved to build a professional site.
Do it because you love it.  I think that is my most consistent message.  Everything else will ultimately fall into place.

Ursula: As an organization guru, I'm sure this has helped you keep on task in blogging. Ok sensei, teach us! How can do we "organize" our way to success as bloggers?

Jen: Ha, just like many other areas of my life, I didn't start out as an organized blogger.  I would often times think up the following days post, as I was falling asleep the night before.  But since I do loooove to organize, I did take the time to put some effort into the blogging department as well.

  • Create an editorial calendar.  This is a place where you can jot down post ideas within specific dates so that you always have something scheduled and can start thinking up how to word your posts in advance.  It gives you deadlines to work within personally, and also helps manage any guest posts and giveaways you have coming up.

  • Create a list of post topic ideas.  I neeeeeded this so badly, since I would think of all sorts of great things to write about, and receive many great ideas from my readers, and then it would come time to post and I would draw a blank.  Keeping an ongoing list of ideas has really helped me on days that I have nothing planned.
  • Learn how to manage your time.  With so many pieces associated with blogging {emails, sponsors, giveaways, research, projecting, writing, photo editing, etc...}, it is easy to lose track of time.  I have tried to assign each day of the week to specific types of tasks, and this has helped so I don't feel like I have to get it all done in a single day.

I created a blog planner to help keep all of the ideas and tools in one place, which has really helped me "keep it all together".

Ursula: Ok, one last organization question.  I consider this the "mother load" of questions! All of us who have children are dying to know your secret. HOW do you stay so organized with 3 little ones? Is it even possible to mold mini munchkin organizers, or do you have to breed them?

Jen: This question makes me giggle.  I am definitely no Martha Stewart and our home absolutely isn't perfect.  I find that there are times when I am knee deep in a project, working massive hours or even just busy being a mom, that certain areas start to suffer and fall apart.  We are human, I promise!  And my kids are all different. I have a son that will organize our entry cabinet by shoe type and color, and another who hides everything under his bed.

For me, it is all about finding ways to keep it simple.  My organizing projects may not always seem that way, since I like to add in the extra step of "making it pretty", but at the end of the day, they are fairly easy to maintain.  I have found that spending fifteen minutes per day, doing simple chores together as a family, has really reduced the need for us to scramble when company is coming over or from having to spend a bunch of hours on chores during the weekends.  Teamwork!  For the kids, I tried to start with them when they were younger, and everything was labeled with pictures.  Simple charts on the fridge have worked wonders {my kiddos do better when they know what is ahead vs. being taken by surprise}, and consistency is key here.  I try to show them with real life examples, that when we work together, we get to play together.  It's a bit of a family motto.

Lastly, I have learned to pick my battles.  If I keep systems simple, and they are helping around the house, then I am OK if their beds aren't made perfectly or if they missed a step while vacuuming the stairs.  No use in sweating the small stuff.  To me, what makes our home perfect is who I am sharing it with, not whether or not there is a sock trail down the hall or fingerprints on the glass.

Thanks so much for having me today!  It was such an honor to be apart of your series!

xo,
Jen

Living Green

I'm gett'in my greeeeeeen on! *said in a sing-songy voice, of course*
I love that my kids school curriculum teaches them what it means to be responsible stewards of the earth they live in. Let me tell you, kids soak info up and spit it right back out at you! The kids are always saying "Ma, are you going to recycle that?", "Mom! Can’t you find a way to reuse that?"...  Apparently I'm a good teacher, but do I practice what I preach? With a little inspiration from Ashli's interview last Monday, and her amazing Mini Manor blog, I am getting a little greener!

Reduce
Whaaaat?? Save money and the earth? Why yes please! *wink*
With 3 kids, "reducing" feels like rocket science. Lights are left on everywhere, in the summer I'll discover someone turned on the hose and left it on... and that's just the beginning! So I make up for it wherever I can. Yep, that means using energy efficient lights, because the girls will leave them on no matter how much I nag.

Of course those aren't the only things I'm looking to reduce. I'm giving my household budget a makeover by using vinegar, and baking soda where I can! That means saving money on green cleaners I don't get free from couponing.

Re-use
Oooooooh yeah now! THIS is my area of expertise baby! I am loathe to spend money on necessary items as it is... so when it comes to decorating and organizing, I always have my eye open for some roadside rescue waiting to happen! About 90% of everything in my house is a re-used item. Rarely do I buy anything new, and when I do it is 60%-100% off (usually after couponing)...

Thrift Stores: From clothes (especially kids clothes), to household items, to decor, to hardware store items...why not help reduce the landfills and buy it second hand? You can find so many nice gently used items out there, plus a little tlc or diy goes a loooooong way!

Doing Double Duty: This is a principle that applies to many areas of our life, do double duty wherever possible!
For example, we use a lot of paper...for school at home, for printing coupons, for business, for church business, and lots and lots of drawings from our 3 loving kids!! Needless to say, it really helps both our pocket book and the environment to use paper front and back before recycling. I keep a basket under our printer so we remember to use both back and front before recycling!

Recycle
I have an awful confession to make, in my previous neighborhood you had to pay extra to recycle, so I didn't bother. Thankfully, my new neighborhood encourages it and makes it super easy to do with a huge recycle (trash) can! No separation necessary!
My kids love to recycle. We made it a game to search for the recycle symbol on every item before tossing it. Soon enough, it became a daily duty they never let me shirk! Then we expanded the game to include imaginative ways to reduce and reuse!

The Incredibles: Mini Manor Blog

Ashli of Maillardville Manor has some of the most beautifully organized spaces I've ever seen!  Maybe it's just me, but when I see a bright beautiful photo of something like a gorgeously organized cabinet, I just sit and stare at it, soaking every bit of it up. Maybe I'm hoping I'll acquire via osmosis.

Besides her mouth-wateringly gorgeous spaces, Ashli shares a lot of really great relevant information on her blog, very personable posts, and beautiful pictures to go with it. I promise to show you a few of those spaces throughout the interview. You know what else really impressed me at the Mini Manor Blog? How earth friendly everything is! Today I've invited Ashli to come share the how-to's of greener living. I think it is important to evaluate our contribution to taking care of the earth we live in. We each have responsibility to do our part!

Interviewing the Incredibles Part 5:
Living Green

Ursula: Your posts are both beautiful and practical! I am especially impressed that everything you share with us centers around green living. What  prompted you to go green?

Ashli: First, thank you so much!!! I think what first prompted us to go green was my crazy sensitive sense of smell. I’m not kidding I know if the neighbor four doors down lights a cigarette. Haha Most chemical cleaners bothered my senses so badly I was forced to find alternatives. While researching greener cleaners I was introduced into a whole new world of green living one that expanded from wall paint to food, from textiles to toys. Once we starting implementing the changes around the house, I started feeling better and it kind of snowballed from there.

Ursula: Oh, well that will do it! I once purchased a bottle of vinegar (which I used one time in a load of laundry), and patted myself on the back because I was now “green”. *chuckle*. Besides chemical free cleaners, what does green living really entail, and how does it translate into daily life?

Ashli: I think Living Green can mean a bunch of different things to a bunch of different people it depends on who you ask but for us living green translates into making healthy choices for us and conscious choices for the earth. We make choices like only using natural lawn fertilizers (corn gluten), using our rain barrel instead of the sprinkler, buying locally grown produce, choosing green beauty products, and if possible buying secondhand furniture and appliances. There are a million ways to ‘go green’ but I think that living green is simply the act of making the greenest choice available to you at the time. We don’t all have the money to run out and buy high efficiency laundry machines, or install solar panels on our roof, but simple acts like buy a used dresser instead of a new one and making your own green cleaners are great ways to bring green living into your daily life.

Ursula: Right, we can all do our part in a personalized manner. I like that! I think many of us like the idea of green living, but we’re afraid it means breaking the bank, living with ugly reused/recycled materials, and requiring more time and effort for green methods. Are some of these hang-ups viable fears? Can we love going green?

Ashli: I think that in the beginning “going green” was more restrictive it meant either spending a lot more money, or like you said buying old furniture from the 80’s. But now there are so many green options at every price point and for every style. If old chippy dressers aren’t your style, you can definitely find a new more modern dresser made from recycled materials, or sustainably grown materials.
I think we can definitely LOVE going green. When you make a choice that’s not only good esthetically, but also good for your health, and good for the environment how can that feel anything but amazing!??

Ursula: I love that your home and your blog show us that cleanliness, order, and going green can be beautiful as well as practical. Where do you gain your inspiration and insight? (please don’t tell us you just have to be born with it! Keep hope alive! *grin*)

Ashli: Again, you are far too nice to me. It is no longer difficult to go green and beautiful. There are so many options out there right now. The world is your green oyster! ;).

I find my inspiration from all of the people who do it better than we do. I think to stay inspired you always have to be looking ahead, always wanting to do something a little better than you’ve been doing it! I found one book in particular that inspires me every time I read it (I’ve read it 3 times now), The Healthy Home by Dr. Myron and Dave Wentz. They inspire me to do better.

Lastly, I think it’s so important to let yourself off the hook sometimes. Not everything you find in my house is GREEN. We have billy bookcases and a Tassimo coffee machine. Haha ;)  Living life happy and green is about trade-offs and compromise.

Wow! Ashli, thanks for giving us the awesome approach to living green! It's nice to know we can be responsible, practical, and still have droolicious homes!
If you haven't, you must pop over and visit Ashli's Mini Manor for more beautiful photo's, organized spaces, and green living. I for one will be popping over there for a little inspiration, then getting my "green" on and doing my responsible part. I can't wait to share my green-ovations on Thursday's link challenge! See you then!

(Pssst, click the  Mini Manor heading to visit Ashli's blog. Golly, don't you just adore her header?   *Yep, I have my anime "adoring" face on* )

Spring Into Cleaning

How excited were you to read Clean Mama's interview last Monday?!! Don't tell me I'm the only one out there that struggles to keep a clean and tidy house. Heh, and with three kids and a hubby working overtime to undo all my work, it's an uphill battle!
I had the pleasure of starting Clean Mama's routine just over a month ago, so while we still have a ways to go, I have to say I am HUGELY impressed at the progress we have made as a family! Everyone is slowly learning to form tidy habits, picking up after themselves, and young to old everyone does their part. Yeah baby! Soon this home will be one well oiled machine! *psyched fist pump*  Becky, my house thanks you (and so does my sanity)!!
I have been using the Clean Mama printables and I love the Busy Mama kit, it is easy to use, and covers a wide range of must's that we often overlook. Oh, but then again I also love the Cleaning Kit Brights set! Oh I can't decide! Plus Clean Mama offers all kinds of free printables on her site. Okay, since this post is all about cleaning, if you (much like me) struggle with keeping a clean house I definitely recommend the Cleaning Kit Brights set, it is only $12, and it is great if you need something to keep you on track. Look, I have been lugging Weekly Cleaning Checklist from that kit around with me...it helps massively!

Now that my house is getting a clean makeover, I have also started using all those cleaning tips that get pinned but not employed. You know what I'm talking about... you've done it too. So far, my favorite Pinterest tip is using a dish sponge wand to clean my shower! Blegh, I hated getting my hands wet and grimy cleaning the shower...no more!

My girls like using it too. This is one of my muchkins getting her scrub on!
